Artist Statement

"Bug Bytes" is the 14th piece in my ongoing series, capturing the urgency and chaos of our increasingly digital lives. With fresh and free brushstrokes, I sought to convey a sense of temporal immediacy, reflecting the unpredictable nature of technology when it malfunctions.

The outrageous imagery of a giraffe-legged bug on roller skates serves as a metaphor for the disarray we face when our devices encounter 'bugs.' Just as lice and bedbugs demand a thorough cleansing, so too do our computers require meticulous care when they falter.

In this painting, I invite viewers to contemplate the unrest and disruption that ensues when the seamless flow of technology is interrupted, reminding us that nothing runs smoothly in a world rife with chaos.
